Our search is for an aggressive Sales Manager that has the credentials to lead our team today and the ambition to lead in the future.


The Sales Manager is in direct contact with the Outside Sales Representatives, customers and suppliers.  The Sales Manager is responsible for monitoring the activities of the sales force in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and North West Ontario, positively driving results to ensure targets are achieved. He/she is responsible for cultivating key business relationships at a lateral level with customers/suppliers and developing strategic business plans through the creation of marketing plans.




  • Ability to speak effectively to customers using negotiating and selling skills to maintain continued service.
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant documents such as product specifications, contracts, technical and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports, contracts and correspondence.
  • Has functional and technical knowledge of plumbing products and skill to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • High School education plus a minimum of three (3) years related experience in the industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Takes ownership of the job; able to make decisions independently.
  • Sets objectives and goals; develops schedules and task assignments; measures performance against goals; evaluates results.
  • Enjoys working hard; is full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes opportunities when they arise
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  • Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations; can win concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties to the negotiations; has a good sense of timing.
  • Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and large groups; commands attention and can manage group processes during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something isn’t working.
  • Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; accurately restates the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees.
  • Cool under pressure; remains courteous and effective when times are tough; can manage personal stress; is not knocked off balance by the unexpected; doesn’t show frustration when resisted or blocked.
  • Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
