Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the responsibilities of Branch Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

 

§   Provide direction, training, coaching, and leadership to operational employees;

§   Accountable to ensure daily operations flow smoothly and resolve issues by planning and managing all logistics services;

§   Analyze information, determine financial, resource and operational impacts and recommend and implement decisions or strategies;

§   Manage daily workflow, monitor the pace and flow of product from receiving through shipping;

§   Create and design processes to increase overall efficiency with respect to picking, packing and assembly;

§   Oversee building security maintenance and ensure measures are taken to secure warehouse stock;

§   Overall responsibility for site inventory control including cycle counts, shrinkage, and obsolescence;

§   Review and analyze branch operations, ensuring the facility is clean, organized and adheres to health and safety legislative requirements;

§   Maintain quality service by establishing productivity levels, recommending new material handling systems, and ensuring service levels are maintained;

§   Maintain a strong working relationship with key customers, vendors and associates;

§   Meet identified and anticipated marketplace and customer needs;

§   Demonstrate commitment to the organization, exhibiting a high degree of adaptability in dealing with constant change, ambiguity and a complex work environment;

§   Balance multiple, simultaneous demands in a responsible, professional manner;

§   Deliver expected and value-added business results through successful execution;

§   Continuously review unit performance against established targets and vision; and

§   Assist in other operational duties/initiative as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

§   University Degree or College Diploma in Logistic Management or related field of study an asset

§   3-5 years Operations Management experience in a distribution industry;

§   Ideally, experience with Syntax, Expert Estimator and MS Office; and

§   Knowledge of business and management principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
