Description:

As a market leader in the wholesale distribution of plumbing, heating, ventilation & air conditioning, engineered pipe, waterworks, fire protection, pipes, valves and fittings and industrial supplies products, Wolseley Canada has two (2) immediate openings in Burlington for Field Marketing Coordinator.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the responsibilities will include:
 

  • Liaison with business groups to ensure successful execution of Connects program;
  • Connects program expense management;
  • Local event execution including: destination, experience, blitz events and all region marketing events;
  • Execute events on budget while delivering a superior customer experience;
  • Source event suppliers as needed, including golf courses, tour companies, hotels, etc;
  • Participation in quarterly Regional meetings and presentation of marketing updates;
  • Communication of marketing calendar to the field;
  • Online promotional store user management, maintaining branch distribution lists;
  • Overseeing the Showroom program and execution, including advertising deliverables, email distribution list maintenance, etc;
  • Vendor promotions planning, execution and evaluation;
  • Assist Marketing Communications Coordinator with brochure development, liaison with local BDM on pricing and vendor inclusions;
  • Liaison with Media & Communications Coordinator on event itineraries, marketing calendar, digital signage updates and other program communications;
  • Tracking, invoicing and collecting coop funds through the MAP database;

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work independently;
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to manage expenses and budgets
  • Experience coordinating events
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to learn new software systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to be tactful, diplomatic, with customers and suppliers;
  • Possess good interpersonal and written and verbal communications skills;
  • Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints.
  • Fluency in both French and English would be an asset.
  • AS400 knowledge would be an asset.
